We were asked to fully redesign and build the Probitas 1492 website from the ground up. We set about planning what the new site needed. As with many sites in this current world of web, the best route to go down was to simplify rather than add more complexity.
Visually, the company had a brand that involved lots of bright colours, but no rules as to how they are used. We introduced the idea of using the colour as a strong element throughout the site to allow the content to work well and be easily signposted.
One way to add a little more interest in the site was to include angles as a device between elements. This goes towards adding more interest and flow to the pages.
One of our task was also to explore the use of imagery. The world of insurance can come across a little grey, so these images needed to bring life and ‘colour’ to the content throughout. We found some unique imagery that work very well alongside the ‘Art of Underwriting’, and the rest followed the same aesthetic.
The site is fully responsive, with a custom WordPress CMS that makes editing content a doddle for anyone to view across any browser.
