This PR agency approached us to design and build their new website, after undergoing a rebrand. The old website and brand was dated and not in line with the mission and focus of where the company after 7 years of business.

The process

In the design process, wireframes were crucial in defining the page structure and layout. These early blueprints allowed us to establish a clear framework for how content and elements would be arranged across the site, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience. By focusing on the structural aspects first, we were able to prioritise functionality and streamline the flow of information before delving into the finer details of design.

Once the basic structure was in place, we developed initial visuals to lock in a strong, cohesive look and feel for the site. This phase was essential for setting the tone and visual direction, making sure the aesthetics aligned with the brand’s identity and values. These early design explorations helped solidify the colour palette, typography, and overall visual hierarchy, creating a cohesive and memorable user experience.

One of the more challenging aspects of this project was the minimal use of imagery. However, by strategically incorporating sparse block colours, we were able to create a visually engaging experience without relying heavily on images. This approach not only kept the design clean and focused but also allowed the colour scheme to guide the user’s attention and enhance the storytelling aspect of the site.

Throughout the design, we focused on telling a compelling story through the user’s journey on each page. Every interaction, from the layout to the visual elements, was crafted to guide the user seamlessly from one section to the next. This narrative-driven design approach ensured that the site wasn’t just a static collection of information, but a dynamic and engaging experience that kept users involved and connected with the brand.
